Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.

St Vincent's Catholic Primary School Ashfield Religious Life

The College’s close connection to the St Vincent’s parish community allows our students the opportunity to attend weekly Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Masses and to contribute to parish outreach activities, including St Vincent de Paul Winter and Christmas appeals. Students also attend whole school Eucharistic celebrations each term.

The College provides a rich sacramental life for the community. We celebrate the Eucharist together every Wednesday through our Chapel Mass Program and each term,  K–12 year groups celebrate mass at St Vincent’s Catholic Church.  We also provide a formation experience for secondary students through annual reflection days for all students in Years 7–10 and retreat experiences in Years 11 and 12.

The College community is committed to experiences of daily communal prayer evident at assemblies, in year group meetings and staff meetings. These experiences of faith enable our young people to reflect on their journey with Christ so that they develop their sense of love, compassion, mercy and justice for all those they meet.
